“The advantages of this text are its approachable scale and ease of reading for introductory students. The tone and breadth of this text is very appealing, yet at the same time it’s not a simplification of core topics.”

Allen Salo, University of Maine at Presque Isle

“I think the attention and memory chapters are the best. Concepts are thoroughly described in a concise way.”

James Hoelzle, Marquette University

“This book covers the essentials in a straightforward, no-nonsense manner at a very reasonable price. It's an excellent value.”

Joanne Dufilho, Brevard College

PRAISE FOR PREVIOUS EDITIONS

"Ronald T. Kellogg's Fundamentals of Cognitive Psychology is a very informative and user-friendly introductory textbook for students and general readers alike. This is a book that I would recommend to general readers and undergraduate students alike."

Robert J. Belton, PSYCHCRITIQUES

PRAISE FOR PREVIOUS EDITIONS

"Kellogg lucidly presents the basics of what historical and contemporary psychological science has taught us about the workings of the human mind. Students will enjoy learning from this book."

Elizabeth Loftus, University of California, Irvine

Not appropriate for the psychology course where I teach. A book very focused on neurosciences and our course is psychotherapy focused.

This book is very useful and informative for Psy. undergrad students. I will continue using this book for the next semester as well.

A very good book generally for undergraduates studying cognitive psychology. It covers the essentials of the course and gives a good introduction for students in general. This certainly is not over simplified however still makes reading easy.
