The Journal for Vascular Ultrasound (JVU) is the official quarterly Journal of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound and publishes peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of the noninvasive diagnosis of vascular disease, including original research, reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, and editorials. Continuing Medical Education (CME) test questions are included with many JVU articles that readers can complete to earn CME credits. The JVU is currently inviting submissions of articles with subject matter that falls within the journal’s Aims and Scope.

The JVU is dedicated to advancing the field of noninvasive vascular diagnostic testing by publishing the latest clinical and scientific information on vascular ultrasound and related topics. These topics and areas of interest include:
- Clinical applications of noninvasive diagnostic techniques
- Practice guidelines relevant to the vascular laboratory
- Criteria for interpretation of vascular diagnostic tests
- Physical principles and instrumentation
- Ultrasound education, credentialing, and laboratory accreditation
- Vascular laboratory administration, advocacy, and reimbursement
- Additional topics of relevance to vascular diagnosis and therapy
The JVU is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
