This is an applications-oriented book aimed at helping practitioners to problem-solve, lead teams and support multi-cultural and other forms of diverse staffing. A hands-on guide, designed for working with employees having performance difficulties and explaining how using a clear, but thorough, performance planning and review process is essential to best practice. It also offers a management tool for working with Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action and other nondiscriminatory practices in hiring and promotion activities.
Duplicated material in another, more comprehensive book.
Information was great though!

This is a good textbook, and I'm tempted to suggest it as optional reading. I have temporarily decided to adopt "Human Service Organizations" by Kettner (Allyn and Bacon)--though I am eagerly awaiting Sage's upcoming edition from Brody--to be published in February.
Simple to use and very user friendly. Provided specific tools for students to use in their work.
Too specific to administrative supervision. i need a broader text, so I am going to review Social Work Supervision which is also a Sage publication. I may consider using this as a supplemental text.
