Achieving QTS Series
Primary Religious Studies
"The book is very accessible for the non-specialist RE teacher. There is helpful guidance and some excellent practical advice"- Lecturer, University of Worcester
This book offers a comprehensive and accessible guide to teaching RE in the primary school. It is still relevant despite recent changes to the curriculum and will be a valuable resource to all primary education students.
Essential reading as part of Foundation Studies and to understand links between RE, SMSC, Equality and Diversity.
Excellent resource both for subject specialists and generalists alike.
An very useful book for those primary teachers hoping to become a coordinator. It gives good links to further readings and research.
This book covers everything a new teacher needs to know about teaching RE. It is easy to read, whilst still delivering information at a high enough level for students and teachers. The practical tasks are useful and thought provoking. This book is so supportive for anybody feeling a little daunted at the prospect of teaching RE as a non-specialist.
This offers what all 'Achieving QTS' texts offer, a good overview of the subject (but in this instance one that quickly dates in some aspects as the regulations for Religious Education change). Religious Education in the early years is covered well, as is the major 'facts' concerning religion in the Appendix.
