This book highlights the modern perspective on existential psychology and psychotherapy in a clear language. Since I do not know a similar book in German I recommend that book strongly to get an idea of what existential psychotherapy and counselling really are about.
This was a good and thought provoking text book. I will recommend it to individual students who are interested in Existential theory and thinking. I am not adopting it, as it isn't relevant enough to the course I'm currently teaching on.

A brilliant book about Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling. Will help students to explore their own phenomenology from an Existential perspective and how to then relate this to clients. Cooper makes the point we all: "Stand naked in the storm of life" for me just this saying has brought new insight for me and my client work. A very understandable text and I highly recommend.
Book has been strongly recommended because it delivers expressive synergies between state-of-the-art theory and hands-on practice and training. Also, the combination of offline- and online - learning is supportive for the semi-virtual learning format at our University of Applied Management. Moreover, Cooper delivers new insights in the topic, renewing it in expressive manner.
