Barbara Rattner, PhD, is the Executive Editor of the journal Epigenetics Insights and Evolutionary Bioinformatics the Scientific Content Editor and Managing Editor of a portfolio of bioinformatics-focused open access journals at SAGE Publishing. Barbara received her BS in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and her PhD from Tufts University in Boston, MA. Her dissertation focused on the study of the molecular genetics of dosage compensation in Drosophila melanogaster. Her postdoctoral training, studying epigenetic control of gene expression and chromatin dynamics, took place at the University of California, San Diego. She has over ten years of experience working in the academic publishing industry.
