Dr Christian Bronner is project leader in the research laboratory IGBMC, Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology, CNRS UMR 7104, INSERM U964, at the University of Strasbourg, France. He is a cellular and molecular biologist working in the field of DNA methylation and histone variants.Dr Bronner has written extensively in the area of genetic and epigenetics (Nature, Cancer Research, Oncogene…). He discovered the human UHRF1 gene that is now known to play a fundamental role in the epigenetic code inheritance.
In 2003, he founded Proteogenix, Inc. (France), a biotechnology company, aimed to develop biological tools for cancer diagnosis.
