Nathan W. Harter Christopher Newport University, USA
Nathan Harter was a lifelong Hoosier, born and educated in the state of Indiana, before bringing his wife and daughter to Newport News, Virginia, in order to become Professor of Leadership Studies at Christopher Newport University in 2011. As a graduate of Butler University and the Indiana University School of Law, Harter had practiced for five years in a small town before taking a faculty position at Purdue University teaching working adults for the School of Technology. He is the author of four books on leadership.
After serving his current university for six years as director of Interdisciplinary Studies, Professor Harter now has two more books under contract, one of them with Cambridge University Press on leadership and culture and the other with Routledge on the historical example of King Clovis I from Late Antiquity. He routinely teaches first year students, in addition to the required course on leadership ethics.
