Rocio M. Rivera University of Missouri, USA

Dr. Rivera's research aims to identify mechanisms that lead to alterations of the epigenome in oocytes and embryos as a result of procedures commonly used during assisted reproduction in humans and animals. The main projects in her laboratory focus on the characterization of large offspring syndrome (an ART-associated loss-of-imprinting overgrowth syndrome in ruminants) and the study of the effects of superovulation and ageing on the oocyte’s epigenome in mice.
