This has been a recommended text for our students for some time and the new chapter on safeguarding is particularly timely. The book is useful across a range of modules including contemporary issues, child health and inclusion.
As the title suggest this is an up-to-date book written by a variety of authors on a wide range of subjects. Each of these chapters will be relevant to modules delivered on my course.

The summaries at the end of each chapter include reflection points, which have created useful areas of discussion in seminar/workshop sessions.
