This is a really accessible book regarding education and how it has changed over the years, particularly regarding technology.

The writers and contributors are all experts in their field and this shows throughout. The ‘pause for thought’ features encourage the reader to find out more, and the ‘research boxes’ give useful points of reference.

The only concern I have is the thin paper on which it is printed, text can be seen through from the other side. However, this does not distract from the excellent content which will help any undergraduate student with their learning.

This is a very clear and accessible text which explores the varied and challenging issues facing the educational world.

The shaded 'research' and 'pause for thought' boxes are really helpful to encourage students to reflect on the issues and begin to develop their own views.

A very helpful text.

Education Studies provides a useful insignt into issues surrounding the education sector. In particular the chapters that summarise differentiation in education and the role of new technologies. The use of various contributors allowed for a diverse range of content to be covered in great detail. I strongly recommend this book for both study and professional practice.

This new edition is excellent and in its brief but insightful chapters provides an excellent introduction to a range of issues covered throughout the three years of our degree course. it is the kind of book I would hope a student would access on many occasions.
