SAGE to publish Chinese Journal of Sociology from March 2015

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE and Shanghai University today announced a new partnership to publish an English language version of the leading Chinese Journal of Sociology (CJS).

Established in 1981 as the first sociological journal after the restoration of the sociology discipline in 1979 in mainland China, Chinese Journal of Sociology (CJS) remains the only professional journal published by a University within this field.  CJS presents leading work covering both theoretical as well as empirical developments during the social change and development of China. The peer-reviewed journal strives to promote internationally academic communication, international research collaboration, and resources sharing inside and outside China. Rigorous research articles and innovative theoretical essays are highly welcomed. The topics suitable for publication include, but are not limited to the following: social stratification/social inequality; social movements; social organizations and social governance; cultural and ideological change; migration; migrant workers and urbanization; family and demographic studies; the sociological understanding of the environment; and social security and social policy.
