Qualitative Data Analysis is an excellent text which introduces not only qualitative methods, but the philosophical orientations of qualitative methodologies. It is an ideal text for Masters and PhD students who are beginning to think independently about methodological approaches and methods. In particular in Part 3 it offers a range of contemporary approaches to qualitative research which takes account of influences on changes in social life.

A very complete and informative book. For our students it goes too much into detail, but for our researching colleagues and doctorate students it offers a good overview of backgrounds and methods of qualitative data analysis.
