I really like the authors' explanations. This book is used as a resource throughout my 4-course research sequence.
Very important book for PhD and Master's By Research Students.
Excellent update to previous edition.
This book and its Instructor's material is a must for a lecturer teaching students research methodology. I think this is an extraordinary book and I have shared this with a colleague of mine (who developed online courses regarding Research Methodology). Have used previous edition in the past
For the foundational doctoral level research course, I find this text supports learners who need an overview of the methodologies available to them. For those learners who are more comfortable with research methodologies as a whole, I find this text provides a good review of research as a step by step process. The text is written so learners can understand the topics, not lofty for the sake of being "academic" but practical. Creswell provides the perfect balance of need to know and nice to know information and serves as a catalyst for further, more robust investigation.
