Deborah Rigling Gallagher is Assistant Professor of the Practice of Environmental Policy and Executive Director of the Duke Environmental Leadership Program within the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. She receive a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, an M.A. of Public Policy from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research examines the influence of stakeholders on business sustainability practices, environmental management system design and deployment and public/private partnerships for environmental policy implementation. Recent work has focused on small business sustainability behavior and brownfields partnerships.
