Maeghan N. Hennessey is an Associate Professor of Instructional Psychology and Technology in the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education at the University of Oklahoma. Her research interests include teacher and student epistemic practices, components of effective teaching and transition education, argumentation and persuasion, educational measurement and evaluation, and the use of high-stakes assessments and related educational policy. Her work has appeared in numerous scholarly journals, such as Journal of Educational Psychology, Instructional Science, and Journal of Experimental Education, and she serves on the editorial board of Contemporary Educational Psychology. Dr Hennessey currently is the Co-Principal Investigator and primary methodologist on a 4-year, US$2.1m grant funded by the Institute of Education Sciences' National Center for Special Education Research, with a purpose of designing assessments to identify the skills and behaviors students with mild and moderate disabilities need in order to have positive employment and educational outcomes after high school.
