The purpose of the reader is to collect and comment on various forms of treatment that have proven effectiveness and to demonstrate how they have been applied in practice. In addition, the editors will provide a bridge analysis across chapters and sections connecting key themes across chapters, and they will provide a discussion in each chapter that describes why the intervention was chosen, it's significance and why it is believed to be noteworthy. In addition, each chapter will contain critical thinking questions and the book will contain a glossary of key terms.

This book is recommended for anyone studying or working with substance misuse.It has clear data relating to substance misuse and evidences each one using graphs and explanation. It is recommended to be used in studying counselling also as it touches on the person centrd approach used with individualass who misuse substances.
Great resource for substance use disorders
This text is prescribed for the BSocSc Honours in Clinical Social Work (Substance Abuse) Programme as well as recommended reading for an undergraduate course of the Bachelor of Social Work programme where a module focuses on substance abuse. This text addresses the contemporary emphasis on evidence based practice in the field of substance abuse very well.
Too advanced for our students.
