The International Nurses Day is commemorated every year on the 12th May (the aniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth), in recognition of the bravery and selfless contributions from nurses around the world. Every year, this day is marked by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) with the production and distributions of nursing resources and evidence.
This year's theme, Nurses: A Voice to Lead - Invest in Nursing and respect rights to secure global health, highlights the need to invest in the nursing workforce and ensure nurses' rights, safety and wellbeing.
As a contribution to the further professional development of nurses and in celebration of this day, we've put together a free to access collection of chapters from our leading textbooks.
