Journal of Sports Economics (JSE) publishes scholarly research in the field of sports economics. The aim of the journal is to further research in the area of sports economics by bringing together theoretical and empirical research in a single intellectual venue.

• Player, coach and management/ownership compensation and player-management relations
• Sport participation and societal impacts and determinants
• Corporate governance of international associations, leagues and clubs
• Industrial organization, on and off-field competition, and regulation
• Local public finance and economic impact
• Sports related gambling
Published eight times a year, the Journal of Sports Economics is the oldest and most influential journal devoted specifically to this rapidly growing field.

The aim of the journal is to further understanding of the economy, economic decision-making by individuals, both as consumers and workers, and by firms, and the interaction of individuals and firms within the marketplace. The journal welcomes both theoretical and empirical submissions from all areas of economics on topics connected to sport business, sport participation and public policy toward sport.
Journal of Sports Economics aims to publish the highest quality scholarly research in the field of sports economics. Papers submitted to the journal must be of interest both to specialists in sports economics and to researchers in other areas of economics, finance or management.
