This is an excellent text for students which provides a depth of coverage whilst at the same time being an accessible read. So much so I will also be recommending it for a multi-agency module which is due to begin in September 2013.
This book is well written to a level suitable for our Level 4 and 5 students. It will be sutiable for students studying in our Key Players module and safeguarding modules.
An easy book to read. The book looks at comon issues from different perspectives when working with children. Reflection sections where the previous chapter can be looked back upon. Will recommend the book for learners completing the course for specific units.
This book is a great reource for youth workers, and others, exploring how their work is moving towards a more integrated approach. I am, therefore, recommending that it be taken up by our library.
I really liked this book, very user friendly and easy to read for me as well as my students. I liked the case studies and found this approach very effective in getting the information accross to practical people.
This is an accessible and well written text suited for undergraduate students. I will be recommending it to my students.
A popular book with students; it hits the approriate academic level and is highly informative and perceptive.
This is an essential reader for all those in the helping professions. The scope of the authors does give a broad background to teachers, social workers, youthworkers and teaching assistants. The chapters address issues that are current and mandatory topics for all those working in the helping professions.
