This is a useful book which will help the novice researcher to write their dissertation
A good re-cap for post graduate students on the structuring of a dissertation. The chapter on pauses and persuasive writing is particularly helpful.
Essential textbook that outlines and clarifies very clearly how and why students need to complete each section of their dissertations.
The book contains helpful tips and tricks for writing academic texts, which can be applied not only to dissertations but to all kind of essays and assignments. These are quite useful for anyone who struggles with writing in academia. Clear guidance gives the reader a good overview of how to write a successful dissertation.
This is one area where students really struggle to come to grips with. This book helps them overcome their anxieties when it comes time for them to write their assignments and their dissertation in the final year of study.
This book will help tremendously with some of the writing issues that students bring up when completing undergraduate dissertations. It's a good text to complement others.
This is a clear well written text which will support the learner or less experienced researcher well. There is a logical progression in the book and I do find that the use of simple line diagrams really clarify the work well.
Thank you for this it will be most useful I believe
Written in a student friendly style it provides useful tips for approaching writing.
Although a well written and accessible text, this is not particularly relevant for most students. Most students do not complete a primary research dissertation, but choose to do a literature review.
