Dr. Smith completed her doctoral training in health psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2023. Her research interests stem from years of community health promotion in the non-profit sector; implementing school-based nutrition and physical activity programs. Dr. Smith’s research examines how the sociocultural environment informs obesity-related preventable cancer risk factors among populations experiencing high cancer burden.
