Brett Mills independent UK-based scholar
Brett Mills is a senior lecturer in television studies at the University of East Anglia. He is the author of Television Sitcom (BFI, 2005) and The Sitcom (EUP, 2009), and coauthor of Creativity in the British Television Comedy Industry (Routledge 2017). The latter drew on the 3-year Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded “Make Me Laugh” project, which followed the working practices of U.K. television comedy writers, producers, and commissioner for over 3 years.
