Elisabetta Adami University of Leeds (United Kingdom)

 

Elisabetta Adami is a University Academic Fellow in Multimodal Communication at the University of Leeds, where she has founded and leads the activities of the cross-faculty Multimodality Satellite within Language@Leeds. Her research looks at sign- and meaning-making practices in place, in face-to-face interaction, and in digital environments, with particular focus on communication in intercultural contexts. She teaches courses on digital communications across cultures and on critical multimodal discourse analysis. She has edited journal special issues and volumes and published peer-reviewed papers on the social semiotics of digital communication and on multimodal sign-making in place.
