Dr. Steinberg, after obtaining his MD from Temple University in Philadelphia and completing his internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, spent an additional year at that campus to obtain his vascular medicine training.
Dr. Steinberg’s professional career has concentrated on vascular and internal medicine issues. Areas of special interest have included 1) development of custom non-invasive vascular lab techniques; micro- and ultrasound guided injection of venulectasias, reticular and varicose veins; and non-invasive counter-pulsation limb compression methods to salvage the non-reconstructable ischemic limb; 2) work up of hypercoagulation states, acrovasopasm disorders, wound pathogenesis, and the limb presenting with swelling or paresthesias as the chief complaint, and 3) editing manuscripts for ANGIOLOGY. Dr. Steinberg has lectured extensively, as far away as Bangalore, India.
