a real gem- good for students and their lecturers, some useful literature and practical advice.
Useful text with interesting chapter on digital literacy.
In depth guide to research however may be too detailed for those on the level 3/4 PTLLS/CTLLS courses
Really useful and accessible
A useful study skills workbook that offers succinct information – quick and easy to read for students; useful practical tasks/exercises to complete which help to clarify and break down the process into easily understandable steps. I also like the way it explains some of the key words that students will come across in HE. Will be particularly useful with new students – adds a different slant from other Study Skills.
A comprehensive guide that will be useful for students following the pgce full time one year course who have not a 'Ba' background. Clear and concise with some good examples to use. Quick to use for reference purposes and in preparation for writing their first assignment.
So often critical thinking is an area we advise students they need to improve, so this book is a very welcome addition to our advice and guidance.
A clearly written introductory text for undergraduate students commencing a BEd that guides the reader through learning how to engage in critical, analytical writing.
A user-friendly text which should help students continue to develop their academic writing skills
Has been introduced to students and recommended as part of personal study/as a resource text to be re-visited during the length of the course as they develop critical thinking skills.
