"In this excellent book, Chin (Adelphi Univ.) and Trimble (Western Washington Univ.) argue that in light of the emergence of increasingly global and diverse societies, leadership theory must now include multiculturalism and leadership diversity. The authors cover an impressive amount of social science research on both leadership theory and diversity theory, including recommendations for developing leadership diversity in various contexts and organizations."
Deep and detailed analysis of diversity which is clear and understandable for students.
a good array of issues covered links into various areas of our core delivery good resource and easily digestible
Easy to read, provides recommodation on managerial strategies .
Although I like the book and wanted to use it, I decided to focus more on conflict management than leadership.
This book is an excellent easy to read production. It aligns well with students hoping to going into management and for those students who are already managers in social care in a diverse society
This book paralleled the topics and even the order that I currently use in my Leadership and Diversity graduate class class. I currently use a lot of original research articles but feel that the book complements the articles nicely and provides additional structure and legitimacy to the topics and order I use.
