Extremely useful for my students, especially realating to healthy lifestyles and the factors that can affect this. Students found it very useful towards their assignment work.

I feel this is a good basic text for students beginning their studies as it covers a range of topics and gives students lots of prompts to stimulate reflective thinking.
Criticisms would be that it is quite superficial and would probably only be useful in Foundation modules when a general understanding of the issues is required. Not really suitable as a specialist text. I particularly like the way the book starts with an introduction to study and to reflective practice

Changes from edtiton one have brought the text up to date with the new EYFS requirements although there are aspects of edtition one that do not appear and are still very useful and relevant.

The students have had this text as a supplementary book, it is a good general text but not as specific to the course they are on as other books.

A very accessible text - useful for all EY and FD students studying at undergraduate level. Excellent examples of good practice and useful exercises. I really like the emphasis on reflective practice.
