Open access article processing charge (APC) information
Publication in the journal is subject to payment of an article processing charge (APC). The APC serves to support the journal and ensures that articles are freely accessible online in perpetuity under a Creative Commons licence.
Members of the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology are entitled to a 25% discount on the APC.
The article processing charge (APC) for this journal is is 2250 USD.

Translations
Authors can publish translated versions of their article alongside the English version. Please see Submission Guidelines Section 6 for more details.
GQNR will publish research articles using qualitative methods and qualitatively-driven mixed-method designs as well as meta-syntheses and articles focused on methodological development. Special sections include Ethics, Methodological Development, Advancing Theory/Metasynthesis, Establishing Evidence, and Application to Practice.

Our goal is to publish sound science. This means we look for research that adheres to ethical standards, uses appropriate and rigorous methodologies that are transparent and meaningfully coherent to ensure clear, credible, and trustworthy results. We care more about the quality and significance of the contribution an article makes than we do the size of that contribution. Global Qualitative Nursing Research evaluates manuscripts based on how the research was conducted and reported.

Only manuscripts of sufficient quality that meet the aims and scope of Global Qualitative Nursing Research will be reviewed.

Global Qualitative Nursing Research (GQNR) is a ground breaking, international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal focusing on qualitative research in fields relevant to nursing and other health professionals world-wide. The journal specializes in topics related to nursing practice, responses to health and illness, health promotion, and health care delivery. GQNR will publish research articles using qualitative methods and qualitatively-driven mixed-method designs as well as meta-syntheses and articles focused on methodological development. GQNR does not publish stand-alone abstracts, quantitative studies, manuscript outlines, pilot studies, manuscripts in progress, letters of inquiry, literature reviews, or book reviews.
An introductory Article Processing Charge (APC) of $500, discounted from the full rate of $995, is available for a limited time. Students are eligible for a special rate of $375. The APC is payable upon acceptance.
