It is a book that focuses on decision making within the topics of management accounting. Discusses especially the latest models and tools that support decision making by presenting examples suitable to those topics. The book is well structured and organized, but maybe if it was colorful would be more attractive and effective, especially for students.

How I used the book. I personally read a couple of key chapters of interest and took the book to class on two separate occasions. In each period, I talked about it and passed it to the students for each one to have examination of its contents. Whilst some wrote its title, others too asked permission to make copy of the front page and promised to cheek it up in the bookshop and the library. What I personally like about the book is that whilst typically, texts books do not bring different authors contrasting views on an issue in their presentations, in this text, Coombs et al., change the trend. In each chapter varied opinions of key authors are brought to bear on the same subject even including other useful recommended references at the end of each chapter. This is a real frontline text; I strongly recommend it to students and module leaders in area.
