Cynthia S. Deale is a Professor in the School of Hospitality Leadership at East Carolina University (ECU) in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Deale has served as president of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Education and has presented seminars and workshops for organizations in many countries. She has published over 60 refereed journal articles and her research interests include teaching and learning in hospitality and tourism, sustainable hospitality, management practices, and service. She has special interests in the scholarship of teaching and learning and sustainable hospitality and tourism.
