Well put together text. Good rationales provided for why mental health nurses need to learn physical health skills.
I love the way these Transforming Nursing Practice books are set out. The Case Studies and Activities really help the reader to engage with the theory, while the further reading is concise and well selected. This will be a useful text in helping mental health students understand relevant and pertinent points regarding physical healthcare and promotion.
I have reccomended this book for mental health field student nurses who are undertaking a physical care skills module as an optional module at the end of their 3 year degree programme, they have found it very useful
Cracking book to supplement our skill days and skills.net resource.
It also supports our assessment in year two.
Easy to understand and relevant to practice.
Great easy to use text for all mental health nurses.
