Safeguarding Adults in Social Work
The first part of the book explores the evolution of concepts and policies for safeguarding adults, with particular reference to the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Capacity Act 2005. In the second section the focus shifts to good practice in empowering vulnerable adults. The final section focuses on developing effective professional and inter-professional practice.
Very easy manageable book that breaks down all the areas in safegaurding. Would highly recommend for level 3 learners and higher.
This text will also be adopted for second year specialist modules aswell as first year introductory module Law and Safeguarding. I found the case studies engaging and I like the emphasis on contexts around 'risk'
