So often, discussions about inclusion seem to narrow down solely to the needs of those requiring special support. This book demonstrates that inclusion is, above all, a culture—one that we all have the power either to foster or to hinder. It gave me many ideas for my upcoming lectures on gender diversity. From now on, I will begin my lectures with Gandhi's words: "No culture can live, if it attempts to be exclusive."
I enjoyed it and found it very interesting, especially for the breadth of topics considered. The book is structured extremely well and helpfully; questions are posed, dilemmas considered and relevant research described in an accessible and thought provoking way. I can imagine that it will be useful to many people working in educational and health care settings, both as a resource and as an aid for developing learning events.
