An Interactive Approach

Engaging and interactive - really useful
Love this book but decided to go with a general research methods book. Will use it with a different course and recommend it to doctoral students.
Very useful book for those at the early stages of planning research projects on postgraduate courses or early doctoral candidates. The early chapters on designing coherent research studies are especially useful. Plenty of eclectic examples enliven the reading experience for students and lecturers.
This subject of this book is too narrow for an introductory counseling research course. Additionally, it does not include program evaluation, a subject required by state and national licensing boards.
Some useful discussions which help students consider some of the key elements of qualitative research design differently from other books
This is an excellent user-friendly text specially for those who are unfimiliar with qualititatie reseatch design. This is an easy engaging text for all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
I like the writing style of this book - the concepts are explained in a way that is straightforward without being simplistic.
Excellent textbook for qualitative proposal writing. This updated version retains the elements that make it a classic - exercises that contribute towards developing a proposal.
I had used Maxwell's older book and my students had provided very positive feedback. I look forward to introducing them to this new edition.
